We helped sexual assault survivors find resources and information about their sexual assault kits.
When Wisconsin passed a law stating each backlogged sexual assault kit must be tested, the Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault (WCASA) and its partners brought us in to create a public awareness campaign to let survivors know there is an initiative in existence to provide them with the support, information, answers, and options they need. We developed the campaign theme BY YOUR SIDE featuring a butterfly that signifies endurance, change, hope, and togetherness, reminding survivors they’re never alone.
In addition to a paid targeted online campaign, AFFIRM developed the campaign microsite, which houses information on the Wisconsin Sexual Assault Kit Initiative, how to find help, and an online ordering portal for all campaign materials, including posters, online ads, and outdoor billboards. The campaign achieved greatly positive results, including a feature in the national Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI) e-newsletter as an example of a successful public information development and paid media outreach campaign.
