DOSE OF REALITY Campaign Extends to Maine, Minnesota, and Nebraska
(Pewaukee, Wis…February 16, 2017) The Wisconsin Department of Justice’s DOSE OF REALITY Prevent Prescription Painkiller Abuse in Wisconsin public education, awareness, and prevention campaign has been introduced to three new states – Maine, Minnesota, and Nebraska.
AFFIRM has adapted the original Wisconsin DOSE OF REALITY campaign logo and materials – including print, outdoor, radio, and TV ads as well as posters, brochures, and website – for the new three states. The campaigns can be viewed at www.doseofrealitymaine.org, doseofreality.mn.gov, and www.doseofreality.nebraska.gov, respectively.
The campaign launched in Wisconsin on September 17, 2015 and has since achieved positive, measurable results including over 1,000 materials ordered through the campaign’s online ordering portal from 100 different organizations. In addition, the number of pounds collected at the state’s bi-annual Drug Take Back Days has consistently increased, making Wisconsin the second largest drug collection state behind Texas.
“Wisconsin Attorney General Brad Schimel has been incredibly generous in letting other states access the DOSE OF REALITY materials,” said AFFIRM Principal – Marketing Director Danny Mager. “Prescription opioid abuse and addiction is a public health crisis all over the country and the more states that start to fight it on the local level, the better the chances are that they can help stem the tide,” concluded Mager.
