Helpful Writing Resources
As a writer, I’m always checking, double-checking, and triple-checking my work. While most grammatical knowledge is innate by now, I still periodically find myself second guessing. Google is such a magical thing. You can type in any question about anything and get an answer, even when it comes to writing! Technology, man.
For those times when you’re questioning your commas or just want to be up to the latest standards, here are a few of my go-to resources:
Grammar Girl –When you Google something grammar-related, 9 times out of 10 at least one Grammar Girl link will pop up. From figures of speech to the latest gender-neutral pronoun, this is a loaded one-stop-shop that’s guaranteed to answer your question.
OWL – Purdue Online Writing Lab – This is a great resource for pristine grammar. From the basics you learned in school to APA and MLA guides, this is a great spot to quickly brush up on your skills.
Grammarly – A blog, an e-handbook, and a Google Chrome extension (free on their site) to correct work as you go, Grammarly is the ultimate grammar resource triple threat. Not to mention, their blogs are insightful AND entertaining!
