Getting to Know AFFIRM – Part 6
For the Milwaukee Brewers, choosing a walk-up song is big deal. As a player, your walk up song should provide a window into your personality, get the crowd pumped up, and make you want to hit the ball (hopefully!) out of the park. In case you haven’t been to a game yet this season, you can find a list of the current Brewers’ walk-up songs here.
I asked everyone at AFFIRM to imagine stepping into the batter’s box at Miller Park. What songs would inspire them to knock it out of the park? Let’s find out:
Amy: Either “Girl on Fire” or “Empire State of Mind” by Jay Z and Alicia Keys
Meaghan: Carrie Underwood’s duet with Miranda Lambert, “Somethin’ Bad”. That song totally kicks butt.
Traci: “Bicycle Race” by Queen
Ryan: “You Shook Me All Night Long” by AC/DC
Katie: “Believe” by My Morning Jacket
Danny: “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking” by the Rolling Stones
Emma: “Formation” by Beyonce (I got Hot Sauce in my bag)
Cathy: “Put Me in Coach” by John Fogerty. It’s a little predictable, but I like the spirit of it. My alternate is “Don’t You (Forget About Me”) by Simple Minds because poor media is typically put at the end of a meeting and has to condense so we can end on time.
Karissa: “Bad” by Michael Jackson (It would probably change on a weekly basis. Is that allowed?)
Laura: “Walk This Way” by Aerosmith
Anne: “Walking on Sunshine” by Katrina and the Waves. It sounds like happiness and summertime.
Erik: “My Shot” from the Hamilton cast recording or “Holy Diver” by Dio
Roe: “Confident” by Demi Lovato
Steve: “Start Me Up” by the Rolling Stones
