AFFIRM Wins Five WAVE Awards Including Judge’s Choice
(Pewaukee, Wis…November 17, 2017) AFFIRM, a full-service advertising agency in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, has been awarded five WAVE Awards in recognition of television commercials it produced for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Wisconsin Department of Justice, and Unison Credit Union. The WAVE Awards are judged and awarded by Madison Media Professionals (formerly Media Communicators Association International – Madison) to honor Web, Audio, and Visual Excellence, including audio and sound design, branding and corporate image, broadcast commercials, cinematography and videography, directing, editing, graphics and animation, product sales and marketing, service sales and marketing, and training and informational.
AFFIRM won three of its WAVEs, including a prestigious Judge’s Choice Award, for the ONE AND THE SAME: DRUGGED DRIVING TV commercial it wrote and produced for the Wisconsin Department of Justice and Wisconsin Department of Transportation. The commercial, which uses a creative metaphor to communicate the increasing problem of people driving while on opioids in Wisconsin, won in the categories of Audio and Sound Design and Broadcast Commercials in addition to the Judge’s Choice. The commercial was a joint effort for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to promote sober, safe driving and the Wisconsin Department of Justice to prevent prescription painkiller abuse.
The agency also won a WAVE Award in the Broadcast Commercials category for another driving safety commercial it wrote and produced for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, BAD DATE: REAR PASSENGER SAFETY. This commercial focuses on the importance of everyone in a car buckling their seat belt no matter where they are seated. One unbuckled passenger can threaten the lives of others in the car in even a minor crash.
AFFIRM won its fifth WAVE Award, also in the Broadcast Commercials category, for the humorous STUNT DOUBLE TV commercial it wrote and produced for Element Creative of DePere, WI and its client Unison Credit Union. This commercial features a real Hollywood stuntman painfully communicating why it’s better to choose Unison Credit Union over a bank.
