How to Maximize Your Email Marketing Effectiveness (Part 2)

Though email marketing may seem antiquated, if you approach it with a strategic mindset, you can make an impact and reach customers for your business. In the first part of this series, we covered a few tips and tricks to employ to help improve engagement for your email sends. Now, we’re back with even more tips to help you get the most out of your email marketing efforts!

Give emails a personal touch

Knowing your audience is marketing 101. If you aren’t reaching the right people with your lists and targeting, you’re not going to see a high conversion rate from your email send. Below are some questions that you should be asking yourself before sending out your email:

  • Do the offers and information within speak to the customer you’re trying to reach?
  • Does the communication remain consistent with your other marketing materials?
  • Is the copy in the subject line personable and inviting?

Don’t put time and energy into emails for an audience that won’t receive them well. Taking the time to put yourself in the customer’s shoes as you design your email sends will help increase your engagement.

Find the right email sending time

Hubspot asserts that the best time to send marketing emails is between 9 A.M. to 12 P.M. and 12 P.M. to 3 P.M. However, the best time to send an email will depend on who you’re sending your emails to and what kind of business you have. We recommend testing a few different times and days, and then monitoring engagement levels to see when your emails are getting the most engagement. Doing so will help you reach more users, ultimately improving your engagement for the future.

Include social media profile links

It’s important to give people opportunities to engage with your email that don’t distract from the call to action. An easy way you can do this is by adding links to your social pages at the bottom of the email. Users who are motivated to click on your landing page are likely to explore other ways to engage with your brand/products and adding social links to your email gives them an easy way to reach your different channels.
