(Pewaukee, WI…July 1, 2015) As of today, Staples Marketing LLC, a full-service advertising, public relations and marketing agency founded in 1985 and headquartered in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, has changed its name to AFFIRM, in order to better reflect the purpose and mission of the agency. While the name for doing business has changed, the agency remains the same company with the same staff at N28W23050 Roundy Drive, Pewaukee, Wisconsin. The new website is www.affirmagency.com.
Clearing up confusion, setting a course for the future
Ten years ago, when Danny Mager and Steve Stocker took over management and eventually ownership of Staples Marketing from founder Jim Staples, people often asked if the agency was associated with a certain office supply company (which it is not).
According to Stocker, the agency’s Creative Director, “This was a long-time in the making. Even though Danny and I joined the agency knowing there was some confusion with the Staples name, we knew that the name was recognized in Public Sector marketing circles and didn’t want to change it right away. After seeing our growth and reaching our 10-year anniversary as business partners, combined with marking our 30th year, we felt the timing was right to launch a strong, new name for the firm,” Stocker concluded.
Over the past year, Staples Marketing undertook an extensive process of getting input from clients, staff and resource partners in order to clearly define the agency’s purpose, mission, and vision. “Through surveys and interviews, we were able to establish a common purpose that defines what we do and why we do it. That purpose – to effectively communicate to people how they can make their lives better, is at the core of our agency as we move forward into the agency’s exciting next chapter,” said agency principal and marketing director, Danny Mager.
Stocker added, “Our mission remains the same: To help clients achieve their most ambitious goals through advertising, marketing and public relations campaigns that enhance brand awareness, improve sales and foster growth. That’s what AFFIRM is all about and that’s how we create Positively Engaging Marketing for our clients.”
