Wisconsin Department of Justice Announces Elder Abuse Awareness Digital Campaign
(Pewaukee, Wis…May 23, 2018) The Wisconsin Department of Justice recently announced the start of a digital online campaign to raise awareness about elder abuse. The second phase of the campaign features a new website, www.ReportElderAbuseWI.org, and digital online ads, developed by AFFIRM, to encourage Wisconsinites to report suspected elder abuse, recognize the signs of elder abuse, and provide victims with resources throughout the state.
Attorney General Brad Schimel launched the Attorney General’s Task Force in August 2017 followed by the launch of radio ads in the first phase of the public awareness campaign in January 2018.
“Unfortunately, elder abuse is a growing problem in Wisconsin”, said AFFIRM President Danny Mager. “So, we’re committed to working with the Attorney General’s Office on developing materials that will not only build awareness of the issue but motivate people to step up and prevent it in all its forms.”
