AFFIRM Wins Four 2021 ADDY Awards
Pewaukee, Wis…February 23, 2021 – AFFIRM won four ADDY awards at the 2021 American Advertising Awards Show hosted virtually on February 9 by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) – Madison Chapter. Nationwide, the ADDY Awards attract nearly 35,000 entries and is the industry’s most representative competition.
AFFIRM won two ADDY awards for its Wisconsin Dept. of Transportation Distracted Driving Prevention public service announcement TV commercial in the Television Advertising and Animation/Special Effects categories. The PSA, titled INDISTRACTIBLE, encourages Wisconsin drivers to stay focused and not give in to distractions while driving in order to reduce preventable deaths on Wisconsin roadways. The award-winning television spot and accompanying online ads feature a young driver focused intently on the road while surrounded by distractions like friends, food and phones! INDISTRACTIBLE is one of AFFIRM’s many campaigns for the Wisconsin Dept. of Transportation’s ZERO IN WISCONSIN traffic safety marketing initiative.
In the Product or Service Sales category, AFFIRM earned an ADDY for its work with Laura’s Gourmet Granola, a certified woman-owned business based in Tempe, Arizona. After first re-designing the company’s website in 2018, AFFIRM created a custom, high-end media kit as part of the agency’s 2020 national media relations strategy to spread the word about Chef Laura Briscoe’s artisan granola and help Laura’s Gourmet Granola better reach consumers around the country.
AFFIRM also won an ADDY Award for its public service social marketing campaign, Let’s Beat Covid-19 Wisconsin Style. Launched in July 2020, the digital campaign connects COVID-19 safety measures, like masks and social distancing, to popular Wisconsin activities such as fishing, camping, hiking, eating frozen custard, and cheering on local sports teams. Let’s Beat Covid-19 Wisconsin Style will continue to run through the end of the pandemic.
