AFFIRM Teams Up with WISDOT’s RIDESHARE Program to Remind Travelers About Carpooling to Ease the Stress of Road Construction
(Pewaukee, WI….November 30, 2015) AFFIRM and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) RIDESHARE Program recently launched a multimedia effort aimed at increasing Rideshare’s top-of-mind awareness among target audiences who are impacted by highway construction, while encouraging them to enlist in the carpooling program.
“With ongoing major construction projects in the region, such as the Zoo Interchange, and winter weather on the way as well, the RIDESHARE program can make it easier and less stressful for commuters,” said Travis Willer of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. “By sharing rides, people can save money, time and stress, especially when the roads are not as navigable. It’s an important message that needs to get out to carpoolers and employers,” said Willer. As part of the awareness campaign, AFFIRM produced new radio ads and online banner ads that aired on radio traffic reports, Pandora and targeted online this fall.
RIDESHARE, a free service provided by the State of Wisconsin, serves all of Wisconsin and bordering counties in neighboring states (Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota).
