AFFIRM Helps Henry Vilas Zoo Launch Re-Opening and Fundraising Campaign
(Pewaukee, Wis. June 30, 2020) AFFIRM, an award-winning, full-service marketing agency with offices in Pewaukee and Madison, Wisconsin has announced the launch of a campaign to raise awareness of the re-opening of the Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison, and to help the Zoo raise funds after it was closed to the public for the first time in its 100-plus year history due to COVID-19. In addition, AFFIRM was selected by Dane County to provide ongoing marketing services for the Zoo.

The Henry Vilas Zoo, one of the only admission-free zoos in the country, re-opened to the public on June 18th, and AFFIRM designed and launched a marketing campaign to encourage attendance, donations and to educate the community about safety measures being implemented during the pandemic. The strategic campaign – “We Missed You At the Zoo” shows the animals at Henry Vilas Zoo welcoming back their human friends, and includes a request to help support the Zoo through donations due to lost revenue from concessions and lack of visitors and events during the closure. Mager, a 37-year resident of Madison, and who, along with his family is a regular patron of the Zoo, is particularly proud of the new tagline AFFIRM developed for the Zoo – “A Part of You”. “The Zoo has been a part of people’s entire lives, from going to the Zoo as a kid, birthday parties, weddings, corporate events, running at the Zoo Run, or seeing the Zoo Lights at the holidays,” said Mager. “We know we can rally the Dane County community and encourage donors at various levels to support the Zoo to ensure it thrives for years to come.”
