CAR FREE DAY INDY CELEBRATES LARGEST TURNOUT EVER AT 4th ANNUAL EVENT
(Pewaukee, Wis…September 30, 2019) In honor of the annual Car Free Day, the Central Indiana Regional Transportation Authority’s Commuter Connect program coordinated with AFFIRM to host their 4th annual Car Free Day Indy, encouraging Central Indiana residents to go car free or car-lite on Friday, September 20th. The event collected a record-breaking total of 1,272 pledges!
As the Advertising Agency of Record for the Central Indiana Regional Transportation Authority’s (CIRTA) Commuter Connect program, AFFIRM helped plan and staff the event, as well as create all Car Free Day Indy branding and marketing materials. On September 20th, Commuter Connect hosted events at several Indianapolis-area locations, including Cummins Plaza and Monument Circle, featuring live music, free refreshments from Wild Eggs and Chick-fil-A, and the chance to win prizes, play games, and interact with various vendors. Mayor Joe Hogsett and CIRTA Board President Bill Ehret also came together to offer a proclamation from the city declaring September 20th as Car Free Day Indy.
