Dane County Regional Airport Celebrates Record-breaking Passenger Traffic
(Pewaukee, Wis…February 23, 2018) Dane County Regional Airport (DCRA) recently announced that it experienced its best year yet in passenger traffic in 2017. With 1,907,499 passengers traveling through Madison, passenger traffic increased 3 percent over the previous year – the highest count in the history of the airport.
Since the launch of several advertising campaigns that were developed by AFFIRM including STOP THE SCHLEP! in 2012, WHO KNEW?! in 2015, FLY LOCAL in 2017, DCRA has seen steady increase in the number of travelers both in and out of the airport. New, non-stop flights have also played a significant factor in passenger traffic. In addition, DCRA will be providing non-stop service to Philadelphia and San Francisco beginning this spring.
