How I started in this business…

I blame my dad. He’s been a creative whiz in the biz for 30-plus years. So, I grew up in the agency life, from being cast as free talent to spending sick days in the office, to enjoying client perks like free ball games and concerts, not to mention I was born with his DNA. When I realized creativity and writing were among my strong suits too, he fostered my development of the skills. I went on to pursue copywriting (well, the teachable elements) in school, and here I am! Thanks a lot, Dad.

What I like most about my job…

My brain is always running amok, coming up with crazy ideas and wild scenarios. At work I get to put those ideas to use (naturally with a few restrictions), and help people in the process.

When I’m not at work…

I’m with the love of my life, family, friends, and/or dogs. During warmer seasons, you can find me out on the lake, or mom-dancing to live music outside somewhere. During frozen tundra seasons, I’m wishing for warmer weather, usually posted up at the townie bar jukebox (on non-workdays of course), or doing something active…maybe even out on the ice if it’s sunny enough! No matter the season, I’m donning Packer gear.

Best advice I ever received…

It always seems impossible until it’s done.

If I weren’t doing this…

Well, I can’t tell you my exact master plan, because it’s top secret (and still could happen!), but I will tell you that it involves dogs. Like, a lot of dogs.

To me, Positively Engaging Marketing means…

A wise ad man once said, “The most powerful element in advertising is the truth.” I think Positively Engaging Marking embodies just that. We’re engaging with people for a greater good.
